From Koh Samui, Seatran Discovery sails from Bangrak in about 30 minutes, while Lomprayah services from Maenam take 20–30 minutes to Thong Sala. From Surat Thani, travellers go by minivan to Donsak before crossing by ferry. Shared songthaew pick-ups at Thong Sala serve Chaloklum, and scooters are another way to travel around the island.
